I’m Monica, but please, call me Momo.

I live in the suburbs of Illinois but grew up in Chicago throughout life. When I’m not writing, I’m hanging out with friends or my cat, Bobby. I love reality television (VPR is my background show), and sitcoms like Fraiser, HIMYM, and The Office. If you want to win my heart, take me to a bookstore!

If you enjoy books with romance, humor, emotional growth, and realistic relationships, then you are at the right place. My goal is to write stories that readers can relate to. Of course, I will have moments that you can only see in romcoms, but I want my readers to feel like they can see themselves as the characters they read about.

Some of my favorite tropes include small town romance, friends/enemies to lovers, second chance romance, fake dating, grumpy/sunshine (golden retriever x black cat), and best friend’s sibling.

How I write is how I let my personality, and unhinged thoughts, shine. I love using television shows, music, and movies as references in my stories. I try not to take myself too seriously and try to have fun with my books (until we get to the serious stuff). I really hope you enjoy my books and stick around.
